"I had an Echo and a Pet Scan Tuesday April 5^th. My results show my heart is good and the medicine I am receiving is not doing any damage.  My scan on the other hand shows new places on liver and left ovary.  My diagnosis is stage 4 Infiltrating ducal cell carcinoma with metastasis to my liver and left ovary. My oncologist changed my chemo due to this report. I am know taking Tykerb, 5 pills daily every day. This helps protect my brain from cancer. The chemo is in a pill form as well, it is called Xeloda. I take 2 pills twice daily for 14 days, off for 7 and then back on for 14.  It will be another 3-4 months before another scan will be done. My tumor marker is 34. It has been as low as 17. 40 and below is considered normal. I keep my fingers crossed it stays below 40. I see my Oncologist every 3 weeks and have my port flushed every 6 weeks. I am working everyday and plan on it until I can’t.   I do have a smile on my face, I have a new grandbaby! J This is not a fun road, but it is a road non the less, I will make it to the end! God has a plan for me."
